  1. To begin, place the chicken pieces in a large bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. This will help to tenderize the chicken and give it a juicy, flavorful finish.
  2. Mix the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt in a separate bowl. Remove the chicken from the buttermilk, allowing any excess to drip off, and then coat the pieces evenly in the flour mixture.
